The Holy Month is right around the corner, and we are busy preparing lots of exciting new resources for you to make it better than ever.

We are super proud to share that Green Ramadan 2025 has been awarded the ‘World’s Leading Sustainable Partnership’ for Hilton and Winnow at the recent World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards – well deserved global recognition for a movement that drives real impact. Thanks to all of you for your commitment and contribution .

In order to qualify as an official ‘Green Ramadan’ your offer has to satisfy the below list of criteria.

The Green Ramadan 2026 Checklist

Here’s what it takes to be part of Green Ramadan:

	Commit to faithfully record food waste data in Winnow & LightStay
	Have at least 1 x Winnow system in place
	Complete the requisite self-audit checklist and responsibility matrix when requested
	Commit to the sync up meetings and take immediate corrective action as directed.
	Implement sustainable practices across the value chain from local sourcing to zero waste.
	Print off and display UNEP Recipe of Change messaging in your dining environments.
	Ensure your operations are as plastic free as possible and avoid unnecessary disposables.
	Ensure you have a procedure in place to divert waste from landfill – donation or compost
	Support local community activations

Start preparing for your Green Ramadan 2026 – you can refer to last year’s toolkit here which has everything you need to get you started (we are busy putting the finishing touches to this year’s which will launch in December).
Successful applicants will be invited to a launch call in December.
